Columbus, OH – The U.S. Trotting Association, the leading authority in harness racing and Standardbred breeding, is seeking a detail-driven, data-savvy professional to join its team as an Information and Statistics Associate.

About the Role
Reporting to the Manager of Information & Research, the Information and Statistics Associate plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and accessibility of racing and breeding data. You’ll work hands-on with horse sale catalogs, pedigrees, race performance data, and annual publications while serving as a key resource for members and customers.
What You’ll Do
- Respond to member and customer requests for equine data and reports
- Produce, analyze, edit, and format horse sale catalogs and pedigrees
- Compile and edit annual and periodic publications
- Analyze harness racing data and produce detailed reports
- Support users of USTA online services such as Pathway and Online Services
- Prepare race lines and related services for horse sales
- Collaborate with IT to develop new tools and revenue-generating products
- Collect and organize horse sale results for the USTA database
- Work with foreign registries to establish records for imported horses
What We’re Looking For
- A degree (BS/BA/AA) and extensive harness racing or equine experience preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills
- Experience with a horse sales company is a plus but not required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and database software
Work Environment
This position is a hybrid position, primarily office-based with occasional travel and outdoor work. Some evenings and weekends may be required, particularly around sales and racing events.
Must be an Ohio resident
