Anderson, IN – Noblesville captured Friday’s (Feb. 13) top-level pace at Harrah’s Hoosier Park, winning the $18,000 Open 2 by one length over A New Endeavor in 1:51.3.
Noblesville, a 5-year-old son of JK Endofanera-Happiness, was making his seasonal debut. The gelding went to the front from post five and set fractions of :26.3, :55.4, and 1:24.2 en route to his 15th career victory in 69 starts. American Classic finished third, also one length behind the winner.
The 9-5 second choice, Noblesville was driven by Marcus Miller for trainer Ron Burke. He is owned by his breeders – the Burke Racing Stable and Weaver Bruscemi LLC – and pushed his lifetime earnings to $642,583.
Noblesville returned $5.60 for a $2 win ticket.
Miller and Burke also teamed up to win the $16,000 Open 3-4 pace with Tickertape Hanover, who triumphed by three-quarters of a length over Henry The Horse in 1:53.3. Sent off at odds of 15-1, Tickertape Hanover paid $33. The 6-year-old son of Huntsville-Time Saver Hanover is owned by Burke Racing Stable and Weaver Bruscemi.
Trace Tetrick led all drivers with three wins on the nine-race card while Miller finished with two. Burke’s two victories made him the only trainer with multiple wins.
Harrah’s Hoosier Park continues on a Thursday and Friday racing schedule through March before adding Wednesdays to the weekly schedule beginning in April. First post is 5:30 p.m. (EST) nightly.
