Monroe, OH – Sayinwhatimthinkin braved the elements, fighting through wind and rain, to take the $32,000 Open II trot at Miami Valley on Wednesday (March11) night.
As the wings of the gate folded in the feature, Legacy Affair fired out to take the early lead and took the field single file past the opening quarter in :28. As they moved into the front stretch for the first time, Global Sensation popped out from third to rush up and take command, clearing just before a half in a stout :55.4. Up the backside, Global Sensation opened up quickly by two and half-lengths on Legeacy Affair while the 8/5 favorite Sayinwhatimthinkin was now underway from fifth. Halfway to the three- quarter pole, Global Sensation seemed to lose interest in the lead and slowed down allowing a fast-moving Syinwhatimthinnkin to swoop up on the outside and clear for the lead. As they passed three- quarters in 1:24.3, Sayinwhatimthinnkin now commanded the field as Global Sensation reengaged from the pocket. As they turned for home, Sayinwhatimthinkin was under a hand drive and cruised home to an easy two and three-quarters victory, stopping the timer in 1:53.1. Global Sensation held for second while Legacy Affair finished third.

It was the first win of the year for Sayinwhatimthinkin, with his 12th career win pushing him over $356,000 in lifetime earnings. For trainer Jeff Smith, it was his second victory on the card, winning with Stud Muffin T in 1:53.2 earlier in the night.
For driver Trevor Smith, it was his fourth victory on the night, leading all drivers while Luke Hanners and David Miller each had a driving triple.
Racing concludes at Miami Valley this week with a Thursday post time of 4 p.m.
