Lebanon, OH — A Million Dances won the featured $22,000 conditioned claiming trot on Tuesday night (March 17) at Miami Valley.
When the wings of the gate folded, Unhinged was the fastest, leaving alertly and quickly getting to the front. Caviar Creek settled in the pocket with Massive Desire following along in third. A Million Dances was ducked off the gate and settled in sixth as Unhinged led the field single file past the opening quarter in a speedy :27.3. As they passed the stands for the first time and headed into the second turn, Flight Of Fritz pulled from fifth and began his first-over journey at the :56.2 half-mile juncture. As the field turned up the backside, a gapped out A Million Dances finally joined the outer flow, tagging Flight Of Fritz second-over and slowly gaining ground on leader Unhinged.
As they passed three-quarters in 1:26, Unhinged continued to show the way with Flight Of Fritz pulling up to within a length. Caviar Creek continued to save ground from the pocket while A Million Dances closed in from second-over. Halfway down the stretch, all four horses pulled even as they battled to the wire, but A Million Dances had them measured and got up to win by a neck in 1:56.2.

Flight Of Fritz went a big mile for second while Unhinged hung on for third. The top five horses were separated by just a length at the wire.
For Steve Carter trainee A Million Dances, it was his fourth win of the year and 14th of his career, pushing his lifetime earnings over the $200,000 mark.
David Miller made four trips to the winner’s circle on the card while Tyler Smith picked up three wins. Brett Miller and Trace Tetrick scored two wins apiece.
Racing returns to Miami Valley on Wednesday (March 18) with a post time of 4 p.m.
