Grove City, OH – Chris Page drove three winners in the eight $20,000 divisions of the Buckeye Stallion Series for 3-year-old fillies at Northfield Park Racino on Sunday (May 3). Page guided pacers Climate and Queen Valerie and filly trotter Til The End AS to victory.
Climate won the second division of filly pacers by 1-1/2 lengths in a lifetime-best 1:53. Takeaway Hanover (driven by Dan Noble) led the field past the first three calls but ended up finishing third. Climate was first-over at the three-quarter mark and pulled away down the stretch as Jamie Amanda (Luke Hanners) overtook Takeaway Hanover for second place. Climate is trained by Joe Seekman for owner L&L Devisser. The Downbytheseaside filly has hit the board in seven of 10 career starts, with two wins and $27,632 in earnings.
Queen Valerie won the third division of filly pacers. Trained by Ron Burke, the Summa Cum Laude filly led gate to wire and won by three-quarters of a length in 1:56.1 for her first victory in four seasonal starts. Eyes Up (Noble) was second, followed by Juliet Capulet (Luke Hanners) in third. Queen Valerie is owned by Burke Racing Stable, Weaver Bruscemi, Knox Services, and RAS Racing. She has three career wins and $41,837 in earnings.
Til The End AS took the victory in the first division of filly trotters. The Anette Lorentzon trainee led gate to wire and won by 2-1/2 lengths in a lifetime-best 1:59.3. Rose Run Bridget (Tyler Smith) and Tomboy Strong (Anthony MacDonald) were second and third, respectively. Til The End AS is a Guardian Angel AS filly owned by ACL Stuteri Ab. She has hit the board in five of seven lifetime starts, with two wins and $37,150 in earnings.
Smith had a pair of BSS wins on Sunday, driving pacer Baxter Tough and trotter Lynn Range to victory.
In the fourth division of filly pacers, Baxter Tough rallied from fourth place to win by 1-1/4 lengths in 1:56.1 over Hold On Tight (Justin Irvine) and Sando (Austin Hanners). Baxter Tough has hit the board in seven of 10 starts this year, with three victories. The Dancin Yankee filly is trained by Joshua Rowe and owned by breeder Matt Rowe. She has $45,444 in career earnings.
Lynn Range led gate to wire in winning the fourth division of filly trotters by 1-1/4 lengths in a lifetime-best 1:56.1. Dublins Breanna (Braiden Rhoades) was second, followed by Topville Lady (Page) in third. Lynn Range has 10 wins and two seconds in 15 career starts, with $51,283 in earnings. The In Range filly is trained by Herman Hagerman for owners Hagerman Racing, Lucinda Belcher, and Martin Yoder.

Cruzin Tothe Pier (Noble) won the first division of filly pacers by a length in 1:55.3 for trainer Ron Steck, who co-owns the horse with Anvil And Lace Farm, Taggart Farms, and Steven Jefferis. The Downbytheseaside filly has hit the board in eight of 12 lifetime starts, with two wins and $37,782 in earnings. I Love Desi (Austin Hanners) and Racing Artist (Aaron Merriman) finished second and third, respectively.
Off The Rails (Luke Hanners) won the second division of filly trotters, edging Chasingstardust AS (Page) by a neck as both horses tripped the wire in 1:58.2. Charlotte Elise (Chris Lems) was third. Off The Rails is an Enterprise filly trained by Deborah Swartz, who co-owns the horse with Thomas Adams. She has hit the board in 10 of 14 lifetime starts, with three wins and $38,099 in earnings.
Moolah In The Bank (Lems) won the third division of filly trotters by three lengths in a lifetime-best 1:57.1 for her third victory in five seasonal starts. Fast Dreams (Noble) and Capturethephoto (Kayne Kauffman) finished second and third, respectively. Trained by Scott Cox, Moolah In The Bank is an In Range filly owned by Wayne Mast Jr., Callam Racing, Scott Cox Stables, and Wayne Zollars.
