Hamburg, NY – Think Of Galaxies ($3.54) was out of this world in the home stretch on Wednesday afternoon (May 6) as she held off all comers to secure the victory in Buffalo Raceway’s $15,500 Open Pace for the fillies and mares. She posted a 1:55.4 time in beating Elegant Woman A by a length while Face The Shadows was third.
After suffering a two length setback to Utopia Blue Chip in last week’s main event, Think Of Galaxies (Brett MacDonald) showed she was ready to go this time around.

Starting from the five post, Think Of Galaxies and driver Brett MacDonald seemed a bit apprehensive about taking the lead as they appeared ready to settle into the three spot. But that thought quickly changed as Think Of Galaxies fired to the lead.
Posting fractions of :28.1, :57.3 and 1:27.0 over the good track, Think Of Galaxies was prepared for the charge from the other seven ladies down the stretch, including the first over Elegant Woman A (Drew Monti). But those rallies never materialized down the lane as Think Of Galaxies used a :28.4 last quarter mile to seal the deal.
Co-owned by Ameer Najor and Thunder Racing Stables Inc., the 8-year-old Think Of Galaxies (So Surreal-Lightning D Dube) is trained by Cory Kreiser. It was her third win of the campaign in 13 attempts, pushing her seasonal bankroll to $44,150 and to $612,493 lifetime.
Monti, Kevin Cummings and MacDonald all had driving doubles on the day while Samuel Smith, Taylor Fritz and Ferris Hazlett all collected two training victories.
Racing will return on Friday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. with a 12-race program set.
