Columbus, OH – Mini-series events for NW1 and NW2 Ohio-sired horses kick off Tuesday (May 12) at Eldorado Scioto Downs. The John Konesky, for NW1 filly trotters, has four divisions, each going for $13,000, and the Dick Brandt, for NW2 filly trotters, having a single $15,000 division.
The Brandt, going off as race 4, is part of both the early Pick-4 and the early Pick-5, both of which have carryovers going into Tuesday’s card. The Pick-5, for races 1-5, has a $20,000 guarantee, with a $5,000 carryover from Saturday’s card. The guarantee is part of the USTA’s Strategic Wagering Program and free Platinum Past Performances provided by TrackMaster are available here. The early Pick-4, for races 3-6, has over $1,700 in carryover money. Both the $1 Pick-4 and the $.50 Pick-5 wagers have a low 14% takeout on new money.
Mini-series action will continue Wednesday with four divisions of the Steve McCoy for NW1 filly pacers and two divisions of the Skip Hoovler, for NW2 filly pacers.
The 91-day regular season 2026 Eldorado Scioto Downs race meet runs until Saturday, Sept. 19. Races will be held Tuesday-Saturday, with special holiday cards on Memorial Day and Labor Day instead of the Tuesday card that week. The track will then re-open for the Breeders Crown, with eliminations held Oct. 16-17 and the finals Oct. 23-24.
More information about all the racing action at Scioto can be found on the Eldorado Scioto Downs website.
