Carneys Point, NJ – Alvin Warrington Stafford passed away on May 14, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

The legacy he left behind was the life lessons he taught us, his children and grandchildren. The wisdom and values he passed on to us, Dad/grandpop wanted to, is enormous. He wanted to help all of us, and to him, family was most important.
Born in Haddonfield, NJ (now Voorhees), residing in Carneys Point, NJ, Alvin was born to Randall Stafford, Jr. and Florence Warrington Stafford on August 25, 1943. He graduated high school and then began his career of driving, training and owning standard bred race horses.
Alvin’s personality was quiet, giving, with so much love for his family. His favorite hobbies were watching his horses race and watching his kids and grandkids race their stable of horses. He also loved fox hunting, rabbit hunting and loved fishing. Overall, he loved being outdoors.
Alvin enjoyed being with his family and was the most happy when he was surrounded by his four kids and seven grandkids.
Alvin was happily married to Elizabeth (Susie) Stafford for 40 years. Beloved father to his four children Jody, Jeffrey, Christine and Jamie Stafford. Cherished brother to Pete, Randall, Arthur, Ben and David. Beloved Pop-pop to Jesse Stafford, Courtney Stafford, Brooke Stafford, Madison Stafford, Bryson Dunning, Gunnar Dunning and Maris Stafford. Adored uncle to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, wife Susie of 40 years, and his brothers Pete, Arthur and David.
Alvin will be deeply missed and most remembered for his caring, giving heart and love for his family and friends.
Interment will be private at the request of the family.
