Harrington, DE – Brian Frazier’s Nite Time Deal ($16.40) and Bryan Truitt’s Almost Persuaded ($4.20) were dead-heat winners in the $22,500 Mares Open Tuesday (May 20) at Harrington Raceway.

Almost Persuaded authored the fractions while Nite Time Deal bided her time in the pocket but closed gamely through the stretch as the two mares hit the wire together. Trained by Chuck Crissman Jr., Nite Time Deal recorded her sixth win of the year while Truitt-trained Always Persuaded notched her fifth win of the season.
In the ninth race, Duane and Lynette Rust’s Parisian Chic ($246.20, Bart Dalious) scored a titanic upset at odds in excess of 100-to-1 for trainer Garey Jump. It was the first career win for the 3-year-old Bettor’s Delight filly. Dalious had a double on the card, as did Mike Cole. Art Stafford Jr. had four wins on the program.
