Nichols, NY – Tuis Angel (Jim Taggart Jr.) and Sweet Hayley Jane A (Ron Cushing) were winners in the co-features at Tioga Downs on Sunday (May 24).

Tuis Angel ($10.28) captured the $14,000 featured the fourth race Open Trot.
Enola (Mike Merton) was first to the quarter in :27.2. Duly Resolved (Tyler Miller) took over the lead with a lap to go and led to the half in :56.1. Purple Lord (Jim Pantaleano) made a bid for the lead heading down the backstretch. Duly Resolved led to three quarters in 1:25.
As they headed home, second-place finisher Purple Lord kept coming as third place finisher Enola slipped through on the inside. Tuis Angel then came flying three-wide down the lane to secure her third straight win in a time of 1:55.3.
Tuis Angel is a 5-year-old mare by Andover Hall. She is owned by Pam Kimmel, James Rappold, and trainer David Wiest. It was her third win of 2026 and 12th career victory.

Sweet Hayley Jane A ($2.88) cruised to an easy win in the $15,000 featured Fillies & Mares Open Pace.
Take Your Pick (Tyler Miller) coasted to an early lead, hitting the quarter first in :26.2 and to the half first in :56. Sweet Hayley Jane A then made her move blitzing on by going down the backstretch getting to three quarters in 1:22.4.
As they made the turn for home, Sweet Hayley Jane A made it a race for second as she won easily in 1:55.3. Quarrel (Mike Merton) was second best. Tennis Queen (Jim Pantaleano) finished third.
Sweet Hayley Jane A is 6-year-old mare by Sweet Lou. She is trained by Heidi Cushing for owners Ron Cushing and Kevin Sywyk. It was her sixth win this season. She now has 18 career victories.
Tioga Downs returns to live racing on Monday (May 23) starting at 12:30 p.m.
