Bangor, ME – Bangor Raceway is pleased to announce a pair of lucrative pop up pacing series with first legs set to commence on Sunday (May 31) for a purse of $5,200, second legs scheduled for Friday (June 5) for a $6,200 purse, and with finals set to be contested on Friday (June 12) for an $8,000 offering.

The first series has been written for fillies and mares with a Trackmaster rating of 66 at time of draw (69 for Maine-bred or NW last 3 races) and the second series for pacers with a Trackmaster rating of 70 at time of draw (72 for Maine-bred or NW last 3 starts).
Horses must race in both legs to be eligible for the final. Entries close at 9 a. .m (EDT) on Thursday, May 28 and can be made online or by calling 207-561-6098.
The month of June will also bring about a schedule change as Bangor’s popular Sunday matinees will temporarily be replaced by Friday cards on June 5, 12, 19, and 26. Post time for the Friday performances will be set for 12:10 p.m.
Bangor Raceway will continue its 3 p.m. Wednesday cards through the month of July and the well-attended Sunday programs will return to the schedule on July 5.
