Plainville, MA — On Tuesday (May 26), Plainridge Park featured a pair of Open class events totaling $50,000 in purses that saw both winners put forth their best efforts thus far in 2026.
The first of the two contests was the $25,000 Open Handicap Pace for fillies and mares, which Turn The Page won for the second consecutive week.
Turn The Page (Ron Cushing) got away third as Intothemysticmoon (Bruce Ranger) led the field to the half in :54.4. Cushing tipped Turn The Page at that point and moved towards the leader in a very fast :26.4 third panel. As the race moved through the last bend, Turn The Page was giving Intothemysticmoon all she could handle and incrementally moved into the lead as they made their way into the stretch. And when the girls paced to the line, Turn The Page turned it on, pushing to the front by three-quarters of a length and winning in a season’s best 1:50.1.

It was the fifth win of the year for the bettor’s favorite, Turn The Page ($3.40), who is owned by her driver in partnership with Kevin Sywyk. Heidi Cushing trains the mare.
Later, in the $25,000 Open Handicap Trot, Resolve To Win was a pocket rocket en route to his fifth win of the year.
Kazio DK (Kevin Switzer Jr.) and Resolve To Win (Bruce Ranger) both left the gate and lined up first and second as they passed the quarter in :27. Kazio DK was on the bit motoring to the half in :56.4 when Super Duper Cooper (Nick Graffam) came first-over heading up the backstretch. Kazio DK continued to cruise and held Super Duper Cooper at bay before he started to fade around the last turn. That left a clear path to victory for Resolve To Win, whom Ranger pulled and let bolt down the lane, eventually taking the lead and winning by 1-1/2 lengths in 1:53, which was also a seasonal best.
It was the 30th lifetime win for the heavily backed Resolve To Win ($4.80), who is owned by Pollack Racing and trained by Enrico Robinson.
Mitchell Cushing scored a driving hat trick on Tuesday while Mario Dessureault topped his fellow trainers with two wins during the afternoon.
Racing at Plainridge Park resumes on Thursday (May 28) at 4 p.m.; there will be a $22,595 carryover in the Wicked Hi-5 in the sixth race.
