Harrington, DE — Frank Chick’s Stevie Hanover ($12, Montrell Teague) was a 1:52.4 winner in Tuesday’s (May 26) $22,500 Mares Open Pace at Harrington Raceway.
The 4-year-old Betting Line mare pressured leader Bequeath near three-quarters before taking command of the race and drawing away for an open-length triumph over Lil Miss Wondrphyl and Gogettermisscheddr.
It was the third win of the season for the Jamie Sullivan trainee.
Ron Short’s Mackenzie Mac ($161.20, Shane Griffith) was a long shot winner in the second race from post 8, hitting the wire first off a pocket trip for her secondcareer win.
Jason Thompson and Mike Cole each had three wins on the card. Cole’s winners all came aboard Joe Columbo trainees for owners George and Tina Dennis.
