Dundee, OH – The following is a public statement from owner Madison Global regarding 3-year-old trotting colt Big Ranger, the 2025 Ohio Horse of the Year:
Madison Global would like to announce that Big Ranger will now be trained by Anette Lorentzon as we continue planning for the next stage of his racing career.
This decision was made after careful consideration and for several reasons.
We want to sincerely thank Ronnie Gillespie for the outstanding work he has done developing Big Ranger and helping bring him to this point in his career. Ronnie’s horsemanship and dedication are second to none and are greatly appreciated by our entire team.
We also look forward to continuing our relationship with Ronnie and working together on all of our 2-year-olds we presently have with Ronnie in training.
We are excited about the opportunities ahead for Big Ranger and appreciate the continued support from all affiliates.
