Bangor, ME – Driver David Ingraham utilized identical strategies to notch a pair of wins during the twilight card at Bangor Raceway, grinding down the competition with persistently powerful first-overall salvos, and becoming the only driver to double-up in the win column on Wednesday (June 3).
Ingraham’s outer-rim rampages have now resulted in consecutive victory laps for Martaritaondarocks (1:59.4, $3), who scored her second win of the season on Wednesday for owner/trainer Derryl Niles Jr. The 7-year-old Pet Rock mare doggedly tracked down the front-running speed of Rolandpeg (James Doucette) to secure her 18th career top-tally by an official nose but an actual whisker.

Ingraham completed his twin-bagger in convincing fashion, romping to the wire by an in-hand 1-3/4-length margin with Cool Your Heels (1:59, $3.60), who was making his first Maine start for new trainer Benson Merrill.
Owned by Julia Eaton and Brianna Benson, the 10-year-old son of Somebeachsomewhere scored for the 28th time in his career while edging to within $6,000 of the quarter-million-dollar lifetime earnings mark with the win.
The action at Bangor Raceway now makes a quick turnaround this week as the first Friday card of the season is set to go on June 5. A 10-race program has been assembled to herald the first of four Friday performances, which will be featured throughout the month of June.
Live harness racing at Bangor Raceway during the month of June will be conducted on a two-day-per-week schedule, with the Wednesday cards going to post at 3 p.m. (EDT), and the brand new Friday matinee performances kicking off at 12:10 p.m.
