Hamburg, NY – Liberty Style began her racing career last season at Buffalo Raceway as she destroyed the field by 5-3/4 lengths in 1:57.1 in a preliminary round of the New York Sire Stakes for 2-year-old pacing fillies.
Well, that win was just the start of a stellar freshman campaign for Liberty Style, a daughter of American Ideal-Fly In Style, and she returns Wednesday (June 10) to where it all began to headline the field in the $121,800 New York Sire Stakes for 3-year-old filly pacers.

It was quite a résumé Liberty Style built in just 10 races in 2025. She won the 2-year-old NYSS pacing title at Batavia Downs by taking the $300,000 finale by 1-3/4 lengths over Savage Cindy in 1:55. Liberty Style also was victorious in last season’s preliminary NYSS events, besides Buffalo, at Tioga Downs, Monticello Raceway and Batavia Downs.
She has already started out the season in a big way by capturing an $87,000 division of the New York Sire Stakes at Saratoga on May 31 with a 3-1/4-length score in 1:52.3 in her only outing. The victory pushed her career earnings to $362,209.
Liberty Style hopes history repeats itself at Buffalo Raceway as Jason Bartlett will steer her from the two 2 for trainer/co-owner Andrew Stafford and Bonnie Benson.
There’s plenty of strong competition for Liberty Style as four other entrants finished in the money in the opening leg at Saratoga on May 31.
Odds On Monetary (Huntsville-All On Top Hanover) drew the 3-hole and will get the services of Matt Kakaley. She is coming off a 1-1/4-length decision in an $85,500 NYSS division at Saratoga in 1:53.1. Odds On Monetary has produced $212,875 in earnings this far in her brief career. She won four of 10 starts in 2025.
Existential (Huntsville-Frankie’s Dream) was second behind Odds On Monetary in the NYSS at Saratoga and will start from the 4-spot for driver Drew Monti, fresh off his 3,000th career win on Saturday. Existential has just two career victories but has still won $177,605 lifetime.
Ideal Beauty Queen (American Ideal-Azreal As It Gets) took the show spot in Odds On Monetary’s race at Saratoga and will have local reinsman Kevin Cummings hopping aboard for the ride from the 5-hole.
Another gal with a shot is Carry Back (Huntsville-Hard Eight), who finished third in the NYSS won by Liberty Style at Saratoga. She drew the post 6 for driver Braxten Boyd and trainer Linda Toscano.
Others in the field include Taladega Express (Leon Bailey), Surreal Spirit (Jeff Gregory) and Saulsbrook Rolo (Brett MacDonald).
With a warm, sultry day expected, the field may take aim on the all-age and 3-year-old filly pacing record at Buffalo Raceway of 1:52.2 established on May 26, 2022, by Gotthegreenlight (Bartlett) for trainer Nifty Norman.
The 15-race program will also feature a trio of $20,000 Excelsior events for the sophomore distaff pacers. There’s also a $660 carryover in the Pick-5, which begins in the second race.
