Yonkers, NY — Nobody had all five winers in the Pick-5 on Friday night (June 12) at MGM Yonkers Raceway, meaning there will be a $3,091.42 carryover when racing resumes on Monday (June 15). That will also bump the normal $10,000 guarantee in the sequence on a Monday program up to $20,000.
The guarantee in the Pick-5 is being offered as part of the USTA’s Strategic Wagering Program, and free past performances for the Pick-5, courtesy of TrackMaster, will be available at handicapping.ustrotting.com. The Pick-5, which begins in race 5 and has a $1 minimum, has a takeout rate of 20%.
Stakes action returns to the oval next week with eliminations for the Grade 2 MGM Grand Messenger Stakes and Grade 2 MGM Yonkers Trot (if necessary), for 3-year-old males, coming up next Friday (June 19). Those races will begin this year’s Pacing and Triple Crowns, and the finals the following Friday (June 26) will be joined by the companion Grade 3 New York New York Mile and Grade 3 Park MGM Pace, for 3-year-old fillies.
MGM Yonkers Raceway is operating on a Monday-through-Friday live racing schedule with post time each night at 6:45 p.m. (EDT).
