Milton, ON – Live racing resumes tonight (June 25) at Woodbine Mohawk Park for the first Thursday card of the season, bringing the racing schedule up to five-nights-a-week.
The Campbellville oval will host five cards each week from now through October 12. The increased schedule coincides with 2-year-olds races ramping up, including several stakes opportunities over the next few weeks.
Woodbine Mohawk Park remains the ideal spot to develop 2-year-olds, whether those horses be Ontario sired or not. Grand Circuit opportunities start in mid-July with the Tompkins-Geers, while the Ontario Sires Stakes season starts on July 3.
Thursday’s card will feature four 2-year-old races to follow up on three already contested last Friday (June 19). This weekend’s 2-year-old qualifiers will take place Friday (June 26) and Saturday morning (June 27).
