Hamburg, NY— Things were very formfHul in Buffalo Raceway’s featured races on Friday afternoon (June 26) as the chalks all prevailed.
In the $10,900 featured pace, Beach Choice ($2.78) was the right choice as he set a lifetime mark of 1:54.3 in crushing the field. He romped away from second place finisher Cod Decked by 8-1/4 lengths while Motive Hanover took the show position.

Dougadougadew ($3.54) got back into the win column for the second time this seasom with a three-quarter length decision over Whats The Point in 1:59.1 in the $10,900 trot. Mister Squeeze collected the third place check.
Beach Choice (Wade Tomaszewski) left little doubt who was the best in this pacing event. After four straight races being saddled with the five post or worse, Beach Choice finally got the rail and took complete advantage of it.
Putting up splits of :28.1, :56.3 and 1:25.2, there was little suspense down the stretch as Beach Choice just was too good. It was a nice battle for runner up honors as Cold Decked (Kyle Cummings) used a strong charge late to get past Motive Hanover (David McNeight III).
Owned by James Palladino and trained by Thomas Mays, it was the fourth victory in 11 tries for Beach Choice (Courtly Choice-Beach Burn). The win improved his seasonal earnings to $25,576 and to $69,379 in his career.
Dougadougadew (Kyle Cummings) broke his winless streak by rallying late to top the pace-setting Whats The Point (McNeight III) by three-quarters of a length.
With Whats The Point cutting the mile with fractions of :29.2, :59.4 and 1:30.0, Dougadougadew was in perfectly striking distance turning for home. Always known for a good late kick, Dougadougadew didn’t fail this time around and grabbed the advantage heading for the wire.
Owned by Doug and Tyra Ackley, Dougadougadew (Deweycheatumnhowe-Fashionablefilly) is trained by Tammy Cummings. The win jacked his 2026 bankroll to $35,607 and to $208,743 lifetime.
Drew Monti led the drivers on the card with three victories with McNeight III, Brett MacDonald and Tomaszewski each getting a pair.
Racing will return on Saturday afternoon at 2:30 p.m.with 13 races on tap.
