Berlin, MD – With the heat wave due to settle over the East Coast in the next few days, Ocean Downs would like to remind all horsemen participating in qualifiers and racing at Ocean Downs on Wednesday (July 15) of the following changes:
First race post time for the live race card will be 7:40 p.m., and the first qualifier will go at 7:00 p.m. “The qualifying races are restricted to 2 and 3-year-old horses”, said Peter Szymanski, Ocean Downs’ Director of Racing.” These horses need qualifying lines for their respective stake engagements.”
“We are taking these proactive steps with the equine health and safety protocols as our number one priority, “said Szymanski.
