With the 101st Hambletonian final (G1) three weeks away, preceded by Adios Day at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows this Saturday (July 25), the positions of the Grand Circuit standings are shifting.
Among drivers, Jason Bartlett’s lead is now less than 200 points (equals four wins) over Yannick Gingras and Dexter Dunn. In the trainer category, Ron Burke just took over the lead from Per Engblom. Lastly the ones who pay the bills, owners, and Punisher 11 Stable LLC (Pollock, Areman, Harris) has made the top.
This week, the Meadowlands hosts the Kindergarten series (first leg was canceled for heat) on Friday and The Meadows, in Pennsylvania, hosts Arden Downs events for 2-year-old trotters. On Saturday, The Meadows hosts Arden Downs for 2-year-old filly pacers and 3-year-old trotters, the Adioo Volo (G3) for 3-year-old pacing fillies, and its featured signature event, the Adios (G1), a 3-year-old open pacing event final. The Meadowlands on Saturday hosts the Tompkins-Geers for 3-year-old trotting fillies and colts.
