Milton, ON – The field for the 2026 Battle of Waterloo is set after 10 Ontario sired 2-year-old pacing colts and geldings were entered Wednesday (July 22) for Grand River Raceway’s signature race.
With no eliminations necessary, this year’s Battle of Waterloo will be contested for a purse of C$205,000. It will be the main event as part of the traditional Industry Day matinee on the Civic Holiday Monday (August 3) in Elora.

A dozen Ontario sired 2-year-old pacing fillies were entered for the Battle of the Belles.
A pair of $10,000 eliminations will take place this Monday (July 27) to determine the field for the C$165,000 final. The top four finishers in each elimination, plus a fifth-place finisher drawn by lot, advance to the final on Industry Day.
