Ima Happy Fella GB (Jim Panteleano) led to the quarter in :26.3. Gotta Go Gram (Fern Paquet Jr.) put pressure on the leader. Ima Happy Fella led to the half in :55.0. They battled all the way down the backstretch. Ima Happy Fella had a short lead to three quarters in 1:24.0.
As they reached to stretch, Mickie Mantle ($3.34) flew down the lane like he had wings, winning in 1:53.2. Bad Boy Too (Cory Stratton) came up to finish second. Ship Disturber (Joe Chindano Jr.) was third best.
Mickie Mantle is a 6-year-old gelding by Custard The Dragon. He is owned and trained by Kevin Reynolds Jr. It was his fourth win this season and his 23rd career victory.
