Indianapolis, IN – Another Mile Again went to the front and never looked back on Friday (Aug. 14) to win the 100th Fox Stake, for 2-year-old pacers, by a length over Gwtrigger in 1:54.3 over a sloppy track at the Indiana State Fair. Brecken finished third in the race, which went for a purse of $38,317.
Another Mile Again, a son of JK Endofanera-Do Me Good, was driven by Trace Tetrick for trainer Ron Burke, who also sent out Gwtrigger. Another Mile Again is owned by Burke Racing Stable, Frank Baldachino, Knox Services, and Michael Rosenthal. He was bred by Engel Equine. The colt has two wins and two second-place finishes in four starts this year, banking $71,533.
One race earlier, Ponda Cheetah rallied in deep stretch to win the $37,195 Ralph Wilfong Memorial, for 2-year-old trotters, by a length over So Joyful in 1:59. Mendoza Mafia finished third.
Marcus Miller drove Ponda Cheetah, a son of Swan For All-Hillosophical, for trainer Erv Miller, who owns the gelding with Stepbystep Racing and Jerry Graham. Bred by Pond-A-Acres, Ponda Cheetah has one win and a second in three starts. He has earned $30,097.
Friday’s action was a continuation of the Grand Circuit card that was halted after three races on Wednesday (Aug. 12) because of inclement weather.

Talk Softy (Kyle Wilfong-E. Miller) in 1:53.1 in the $29,613 Horseman for 3-year-old pacers and Swan Affect (M. Miller-Walter Haynes Jr.) in 1:59.4 in the $29,069 Horseman for 3-year-old trotters.
