Nichols, NY – Driver Braxten Boyd added another grand slam to his great season including a win with Super Duper Cooper in the $15,500 Open Trot at Tioga Downs on Saturday (Aug. 22).

Super Duper Cooper ($2.42) charged straight to the front and led to the quarter in :28.3. He used a :29.1 second quarter to be first to the half in :57.4. The 5-year-old gelding by EL Titan cruised to three quarters in 1:25.3.
As they made the turn for home second place finisher Makes Me Charlie (Tom Merton) went all out on the chase but all he saw was dust as Super Duper Cooper won going away in 1:53.4. Purple Lord (Jim Pantaleano) got third money.
Super Duper Cooper is owned by Pollack Racing and trained by Enrico Robinson. It was his sixth win this season and his 18th career victory.
Boyd got his other wins with So Diva, Quickway, and Bronzer.
Tioga Downs returns to live racing on Sunday (Aug. 23) starting at 12:30 p.m.
