Harrington, DE – Evm Racing’s Wehadababyetzaboy ($2.80, Brandon Givens) was a four-length winner despite post 8 Monday (Sept. 7) at Harrington Raceway in the $22,500 Open Pace in 1:51.
The 7-year-old Sweet Lou gelding has enjoyed an outstanding campaign for trainer Chuck Crissman Jr. and boosted his seasonal earnings in excess of $200,000. Wehadababyetzaboy left the gate early and assumed command early in the mile to quickly overcome the outside post and cruised to an open length score. It was his 4th win in his last 5 starts and 11th of the season. He has been a dominant force in the Open ranks in Delaware all season long. It was one of 4 wins on the card for the meet’s leading driver, Givens.
Ryder Skinner, 19, had a driving double, piloting a pair of winners for his dad, trainer Jason Skinner.
Penelope Morgan and trainer Dan Munson’s Ridin The Waves ($3.40, Tony Morgan) continued to his hot streak, winning his 5th straight in a conditioned claiming event in 1:53.1. The 4-year-old Downbytheseaside gelding notched his 8th win of the year in front stepping fashion, leaving no doubt with a blowout win.
