Edgerton, OH – Lauren Harmon picked up two wins this past week at the Van Wert County Fair in Van Wert, Ohio, in the Spring Haven Farm Ladies Driving Series.
Both of Harmon’s wins came with Fix Ur Makeup, who won on Tuesday (Sept. 1) in 2:00.4 and then came back on Monday (Sept. 7) with a win in 1:59.4.
The other winner on Tuesday’s card was 16-year-old Amelia Smith, who piloted Smile Today to a victory in 2:01.3. The second winning driver in the pacing division on Monday was Krista Harmon with a victory with Poof Daddy in 2:03.2.
Monday’s race program also featured a trotting division of the Spring Haven Farm Ladies Driving Series. Lorie Davis came home first in that race with K J Todd after a mile in 2:04.3.
Leslie Joyce continues to lead the series with 445 points. She is followed by Jazmin Short with 332 points and Jennifer Main with 317 points.
The Spring Haven Farm Ladies Driving Series continues next week with races at both the Williams County Fair in Montpelier, Ohio, and the Wyandot County Fair in Upper Sandusky, Ohio. Montpelier will host both pacing and trotting divisions on Wednesday, Sept. 16, with a first race post time of 1 p.m. Upper Sandusky will have a pacing race later that same day with the program getting underway at 5 p.m.
The races at Montpelier and Upper Sandusky are the last chances to earn points leading up to the final at the Delaware County Fair in Delaware, Ohio, on Sunday, Sept. 20. Post time for the first race at Delaware will be 1 p.m.
