Harrington, DE — Steve Manzi and Pie San LLC’s Remy Brown N ($2.80) won her Harrington Raceway debut in Tuesday’s (Sept. 15) $22,500 Mares Open Pace in 1:53.1, headlining a seven-win night for her driver, Brandon Givens.
The 7-year-old Vincent mare had been racing in the Northeast before entering the Joe Hunderptfund Jr. barn, where she promptly won her first start at Ocean Downs on Sept. 2 before a decisive score in her first start in Delaware on Tuesday. Givens put the veteran mare on the front end, and she responded with a powerful 3-1/4-length score over Stevie Hanover and Kairakiconfidntl N.
It was her fifth win of the year and 23rd of her career.
Givens, who has a healthy lead in the driver standings over Art Stafford Jr. and Corey Callahan, continues to flourish at the meet with his second seven-win program of the season, capped by a win with Eternal Blush ($2.40) in the 15th and final race on the card.
Live racing at Harrington will continue on a Monday-through-Wednesday schedule through Oct. 21.
