Northfield, OH – The Great Lakes Amateur Driving Association (GLADA) hosted the Scandinavia Challenge on Wednesday (Sept. 23), with GLADA’s Joseph Kramp and Terry DiCicco scoring victories.
Kramp, handling the lines back of Logo, came from off the pace to score a one-length win over B Medithree, driven by The Netherlands’ Nico Post, with Fox Valley Nautica and teammate Larry Ferrari third, two lengths away.
Trump The Warrior was fourth with Eli Swartzentruber in the sulky, and Game On Girls, driven by Madison Angus, picked up the “nickel.”
The 4-5 favorite, Max’s Beast was hung out to dry like wet laundry the entire route with The Netherlands’ Yanick Mollema in the bike.
The USA’s Jamie Marra was next after beginning from the outside post with Bb Fire while Dony Diego, paired with Sweden’s Sune Hansen, was eighth after going extra distance on the outside the entire route.
It was B Medithree and driver Nico Post on the engine from the get-go, taking the field through fractions of :28.4, :58.4 and 1:29.1, with Max’s Beast still grinding away on the outside reaching second with Fox Valley Nautica in the pocket third with Logo launching his bid and churning forward fourth and ready to tip wide for the drive home.
Using a :29.4 brush home, the swiftest of all, Kramp got Logo to the wire a length in front in 1:59.3.
Trained by Kramp for owner Richard Fisher Jr., the 4-year-old gelded son of Chapter Seven won for the fourth time this semester in 26 starts, pushing his 2026 bounty to $41,083. He also vaulted over the $100,000 career wise, at $103,095.
Logo paid $6.60 as second choice in the betting.
Mister Sweet, a 5-year-old gelded son of Mister Anson, zipped off the wings from post 4 for Terry DiCicco and garnered the lead an eighth into the mile and carved up rated fractions of :28.4, :59.3 and 1:28.1 and never had an anxious moment in scoring a handy 2-1/2-length win over a pocket sitting Kandy Sweet, driven by Yanick Mollema.
Manhattanup No Ice, trotting fastest of all late, finished third for Edward Miller while Big Bad Caviar, beginning from the second tier, trotted an even mile to finish fourth for Sweden’s Johan Larsson while Bluebird Revival finished fifth for Jamie Marra, finding no room to roam late.
Sweden’s Nico Post, outside the entire mile, finished sixth followed with Rare Event, followed by Yo Mister, driven by Madison Angus.
Supreme Rockette, outside every step, was next for Susan Miller while Sweden’s Sune Hansen, beginning from the outside post 8, completed the order finish.
Mister Sweet, a recent arrival in the barn of trainer Heather France, improved his 2026 stats to 3-3-3 in 28 starts, good for $33,326.
The gelding is owned by France in partnership with Sara Potts and, as the second choice of two 8-5 chances on the tote board, returned $5.40 to his faithful.
