Saratoga Springs, NY — Cindy’s Faith recorded the biggest win of her season on Sunday afternoon (Sept. 27) at Saratoga Casino Hotel when the Kirsten Proctor-trained mare scored in the $21,250 Pop-Up Final. Aaron Byron got the driving assignment behind the 4-year-old mare, who is on her way to earning six-figures in a 2026 campaign that has seen her climb the class ranks all the way up to the local Fillies and Mares Open.
On Sunday, Cindy’s Faith was the 2-1 second-choice in the wagering and was aggressive from the start. Setting first-half fractions of :27.1 and :55.4, Cindy’s Faith just cruised along unopposed with the favored Cervi (Brett Beckwith) sitting the pocket in the race for distaffers. Cindy’s Faith dug in in the stretch before holding off the favorite to prevail in 1:53.3 for a seasonal best win clocking over a ‘sloppy’ track. Cervi was the runner-up for the fourth consecutive week while longshot Seaside Wishes (Phil Fluet) came on to finish third.
Cindy’s Faith, who made her first start under the guidance of Proctor, is owned by Shark Racing Stable.
