Milton, ON – Totally Tyler broke his maiden in epic style, blasting to a 1:49 Ontario Sires Stakes (OSS) record mile while winning the first of two C$100,000 Gold Leg 5 divisions for 2-year-old pacing colts on Saturday (Oct. 3) at Woodbine Mohawk Park.

No More Exs won the other division (race 12) in 1:51. Both pacers were driven by Jody Jamieson.
In the first division (race 2), in his first time in Totally Tyler’s sulky, Jamieson orchestrated the victory pulling from third along the rail in deep stretch and brushing past front-runners Kerplunk (Louis-Philippe Roy) and D A Alljokesaside (Mark MacDonald) to surpass the OSS record of 1:49.3 previously set by Stockade Seelster in 2022.
Sent off at 9-1 in the field of seven, Totally Tyler won by one length over Kerplunk, followed by D A Alljokesaside, 3-5 favourite TH Theo (Doug McNair) and Meetmeonthebeach (Travis Cullen).
“[Totally Tyler] is a hell of a colt,” Jamieson told Woodbine broadcaster John Rallis. “It was nice that they gave me a call to drive him. That was fun.”
Totally Tyler, trained in the U.S. by Ron Burke and in Ontario by Scott McEneny, is now 1-2-1 in nine career starts. He has earnings of C$125,816.
“I knew he could go with them,” McEneny said. “He showed that last time, so it was just a matter what trip he got, and Jody gave him a great drive.”
Totally Tyler paid C$21.10 to win.
Totally Tyler, a homebred son of Bulldog Hanover out of Band Stand owned by Brad Grant, is the younger brother of 3-year-old filly Shes A Bulldog, a winner of more than C$800,000.
In the second division, Jamieson had No More Exs in front just after the quarter-mile station and cruised to 1-1/2 length, career-best victory in 1:51 for trainer Murray Brethour and owner/breeder Daniel Sarafian.

Stampede (Louis-Philippe Roy) was second, Yes I Am Hanover (Doug McNair) was third, TH Benedict (James MacDonald) was fourth and Gogo Gadget (Jonathan Drury) was fifth.
“I just thought I put [No More Exs] in play [before the half], and I didn’t want to follow Stampede,” Jamieson said. “I’ve driven Stampede before, and I had Stampede, I guess, where I needed him because he was really alive tonight, too, but No More Exs dug in, and that’s a huge mile. I don’t care what anybody says. I know the other division went in :49, but it’s a lot colder now. Everything’s a little bit more dull around here, and the track’s a little bit tiring.”
The son of Big Jim out of Kounnis is now 3-0-2 in eight starts and sports earnings of C$109,542.
No More Exs paid C$5.20 to win.
