Bangor, ME – Fairytale endings always provide the most heart warming codas, and that was exactly what the fans were treated to at Bangor Raceway on Wednesday (Nov. 4) when J Js Delivery’s illustrious career drew to its fantastic conclusion. In classic storybook fashion, the 14-year-old veteran was announced as retired in the Bass Park winner’s circle, immediately after jogging to the 50th win of his career, and striding proudly off the track following his 274th lifetime start.

In what would become his final start, J Js Delivery was sent on an insistent mission by driver Heath Campbell, confidently careening toward an early lead via a delayed quarter-pole move, before calmly controlling the tempo and forging evenly rated fractions throughout. Brave on the lead and intent on his quest, the venerable pacer swelled up while rounding the final turn, extending out to an eventual 4-1/4 length margin at the wire, riding triumphantly through the storied stretch of historic Bass Park, while stopping the tele-timer in a seasonal best, 1:59.3.
Trained by co-owner Ralph D’Amelio II for his ownership partners, J Greg Tulloch and Louis Gassbarro III, the son of Jereme’s Jet concludes his career with a record of 50-35-34 from 274 starts, $478,130 in lifetime earnings, and a career mark of 1:49.4 taken as a 3-year-old at Mohawk Park.
The win was one of three on the program for driver Campbell who secured yet another benchmark victory when he guided Easteriffic (2:01, $8) to the 40th win of her career. Campbell concluded his hat trick by gliding in gate-to-wire fashion with Saint Stephen (1:59.4, $3) as the Plainridge invader dropped and popped for trainer Jimmy Nickerson.
With one race day left on the 2026 Bangor Raceway calendar, Campbell maintains comfortable control atop the Bass Park leaders board with his 73 wins trumping second-place contender, Kevin Switzer, Jr by seven scores.
Closing Day of the 2026 harness racing season at Bangor Raceway is slated for Saturday (Nov. 7) as an 11-race card is scheduled to bring the curtain down on yet another historic season at Bass Park. The horses for the final performance of the year will step to the gate bright and early at 11:45 a.m. (EST).
