Dayton, OH – The Smith brothers put on a driving clinic Friday night (Nov. 6) at Hollywood Gaming Dayton Raceway, combining to win six of the 14 races on the program.

Trevor Smith, the younger of the brothers, highlighted the evening by guiding Ss Druidstone to a 32-1 upset in the featured $20,000 conditioned claiming pace.
Trained by Danny Dubeansky, the 4-year-old son of Downbytheseaside rallied from sixth, ducked into the passing lane and tracked down the heavy favorite Hayhayit’sfrineigh (Kayne Kauffman) in the final strides for a neck victory in 1:51.3.
The winner returned $66.20 to his backers and the lion’s share of the purse to Brian Witt, his owner.
The featured victory was one of three wins on the card for Trevor Smith, while brother Tyler Smith matched that total with three victories of his own, giving the sibling duo nearly half the races on the 14-race program.
In the night’s penultimate race, Tyler steered Tony Pako to a head victory over Trevor’s Prolific Range in 1:56.4.
Tyler Cook trains Tony Pako for Dean A. Peruzzi.
Trevor holds a 36-34 lead over his older brother in the Dayton Raceway meet standings.
Bettors had a hard time figuring out the last race of the night, triggering four carry-overs into Saturday’s (Nov. 7) card. Punters can get a head start on the Pick 3, 4 and 5 and Hi-5 review thanks to the free program pages at pennentertainment.com/hollywood-dayton/racing.
