Deliciouslynaughty on best behavior at Buffalo Raceway

Hamburg, NY — Deliciouslynaughty was on her bestbehavior at Buffalo Raceway on Wednesday night (April 5) and rallied late to capturethe featured $8,200 pace for the mares in 1:57 over the fast track.

Getting a perfect second-over trip, Deliciouslynaughty(Larry Stalbaum) went three-wide down the long Buffalo Raceway stretch and was ableto surge past Who Says That (John Cummings Jr.) in the final strides to capturethe victory. Susie’s Delight managed to secure the show position.

Deliciouslynaughty rallied late to take Buffalo Raceway’s feature on Wednesday.

Scarlet N Silk had to tussle with Susie’s Delight to grabthe top and posted fractions of 28.4, 57.2 and 1:27.3.

But down the lane, Scarlet N Silk started to get leg wearywhile Deliciouslynaughty and Who Says That were revved up on the outside.

Who Says That enjoyed a slight advantage midway down thestretch but couldn’t hold off the fast closing Deliciouslynaughty who postedthe head win.

Owned by Stalbaum and trained by Kimberly Asher, it was thefourth win in 13 appearances for Deliciouslynaughty (Mach Three-Naught EnoughHare). The 10-year-old mare has now put $24,906 in the bank this year and $438,451lifetime.

Jim Morrill Jr had a triple in the bike while Stalbaum andKevin Cummings all had doubles. Trainer Bo Sowers picked up three wins andAsher had a pair.

Racing will resume at Buffalo Raceway on Friday night withan 11-race card set for 5 p.m. There is a $999 carryover in the Pick-5 whichbegins in the second race.
