Pair of matinees set for this weekend in Ohio

Columbus, OH — There will be a pair of matinees held this weekend in Ohio.

The Defiance County Area Horsemen’s Association is hosting a matinee on Saturday (May 28) at 12 noon at the Defiance County Fairgrounds in Hicksville, Ohio. Rain date is Memorial Day (Monday, May 30) at the same time.

Halters will be presented to each heat winner. A 50-50 raffle will be held and Nickerson Barbeque will be available.

Entries will be taken Wednesday (May 25) from 5-9 p.m. by phoning Bill Peters at 419.298.7408 or 419.630.5952.

The Mercer County Harness Horsemen’s Association will host its 46th annual matinee in Celina, Ohio, on Sunday (May 29) with a 12 noon start.

There will be a food stand, raffle drawing, and driver insurance. No charted lines. Classes for all horses. There is a $20 entry fee.
