Missevil plenty good in Buffalo Raceway feature

Hamburg, NY — Missevil showed she was plenty good inBuffalo Raceway’s $8,200 featured pace for the mares on Wednesday night (March 9)as she enjoyed a perfect pocket trip to earn a half-length victory over DontchRemember in 1:56.3 over the fast track.

Missevil (#1) was too good in the Buffalo Raceway feature on Wednesday night.

On a perfect night for racing with temperatures hovering around70, Ugly Betty (Billy Davis Jr.) managed to grab the lead to the quarter-poleand handed out a parking ticket to Ding (Ron Beback Jr.) along the way. In themeantime, Missevil ($7.10) enjoyed the scuffle on the front-end and draftedalong perfectly in the garden spot, biding her time until the top of thestretch.

In the race to the wire, driver Jack Flanigen droppedMissevil into the ‘lightning lane’ and easily flew past the tiring Ugly Bettyto score the win. Dontch Remember (Ray Fisher Jr.) showed some late kick totake second while Ugly Betty hung on for third.

It was the third victory in nine starts this season forMissevil (Armbro Deuce-Impudent Hall) and moved her seasonal winnings to$14,159 and $74,260 lifetime.The 5-year-old mare is owned by Vogel & WagsNags Stables, Chris Shambo and Jack Rice. Maria Rice handled the trainingduties.

Buffalo Raceway’s leading driver Jack Flanigen scored atriple on the night while Drew Monti and Jim McNeight had a pair of wins.

Racing will resume on Friday night with a 12-race cardscheduled for 5 p.m.
