Washington, PA — Crazolo quarter-poled to the lead and had no serious challenges thereafter in capturing his second straight victory in Monday’s (March 30) $15,000 Winners Over $10,000 Life Trot at The Meadows.
Crazolo dropped into an optional claiming handicap to get last week’s win and was so impressive that he was sent off as the 9-5 favorite despite the jump in class. Away third, Crazolo brushed to the lead for Jim Pantaleano and easily held off the first-over Tamarind by three-quarters of a length in 1:54.4. Call To Post rallied from last for show.
Paul Corey conditions Crazolo, a 4-year-old Crazed-Stroke Play gelding who vaulted over $100,000 in career earnings, for Michelle Yanek.
Dave Palone, Mile Wilder and Pantaleano each piloted three winners on the 14-race card.
