Analysis:
Race 5: (1) Fortissimo ships in from Pocono and gets the rail off game uncovered placing. (2) Stormy New York broke past the start from 7-hole in latest, drops to the level of easy win at this level and distance two back and looks like key player. (5) Get Packin classy 11-year-old got away with slow early fractions but looked strong finishing against these. (6) Nowerland Firebird is in raging form and comes off blowout win in fast time at this level.
Race 6: (2) Relentless G had steady rally from 7-hole through sparkling mile while never really being asked, moves inside and can show speed. (7) Friday At Five made a sharp brush to the top past a 1:23.4 three quarters, opened a clear lead but couldn’t hold off favorite who rallied inside to win at the extra distance. Drops off that effort and can overcome 7-hole. (3) Spunky Monkey moves into high percentage barn that usually does well with its claims and has a shot from this spot.
Race 7: (5) George Jettison was a game uncovered winner in first try for Coleman barn. Three-year-old was a force on the Ontario Sire Stakes trail and seems capable of stringing a few. (6) Delco Rocknroll blasted to the top, carved out lively fractions and just couldn’t hold off top one’s challenge late making first start in three weeks. Remains sharp and will be tough.
Race 8: (2) Somekindamonster had solid pace rallying from 8-hole at Pocono in last. Two back left for a tuck then made second move to the top in one of these only to tire possibly disliking the off track. Returns and finds better spot to use her speed. (6) Shake It Up High was an easy winner against lesser here three back then went to Pocono and score a game win in a lifetime best 1:53.2 mile. Had tough uncovered trip to end 7-race win streak last time but probably bled as trainer adds lasix tonight. Could be value play in this.
Race 9: (3) Alfredsson has shown marked improvement in Allard barn winning three of five including a 1:50.2 score and lifetime best 1:49.3 mile at Pocono. Returns to Yonkers where he’s no stranger having won in 1:51.4 last year and finds good spot.
