Rockin With Dewey was a 1:55 winner.

Rockin With Dewey, driven by Mario Baillargeon, capitalized on the error en route to nabbing her first career victory on Monday (May 6) at Woodbine.

Lipstick Rose (Rick Zeron) was the first leader past the opening quarter in :27.3. Miss Panthers (Luc Ouellette) was in the pocket with Samartina (Randy Waples) sitting third.

Her Name Is Lola angled out of fourth and made her way to the front past the half in :58.3. Rockin With Dewey, who was aggressively driven by Baillargeon, was left first-over and was matching strides with the tempo-setter past three-quarters in 1:27.

Her Name Is Lola and Rockin With Dewey separated themselves from the rest of the field, but it was Rockin With Dewey getting the best of her rivals as she went on to score the win by 3-3/4 lengths in 1:55. Her Name Is Lola finished second, with Miss Panthers finishing third.

Trainer Ben Baillargeon co-owns the filly with her breeder, Diane Ingham, and together they watched Rockin With Dewey’s bank account climb to C$38,060. She owns a 1-2-0 record from three starts this season. The daughter of Deweycheatumnhowe paid $6.40 as the second choice.
