Columbus, MN — The deadline for submitting stall applications for the 2013 meet at Running Aces Harness Park is quickly approaching. They must be received by this coming Monday (April 15) for consideration.

The 2013 season will commence on June 1 and end August 31 with 53 total programs contested on a regular Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday night schedule.

An anticipated approximate six percent increase in the total purse pool will likely result in an average purse for the entire meet in excess of $5,000, continuing the promising trend of higher average purses for the sixth consecutive season.

The barn area at Running Aces will open on May 17 with horses able to begin training on May 18. Qualifying races will be conducted on May 25.

The complete barn area stall allocation will be announced on the Running Aces website on April 30, but applicants can expect to be contacted during the prior 10-day period by Director of Racing Gregg Keidel, who may be able to offer several attractive off-site stabling opportunities to those that can’t be accomodated due to the track’s 240-stall limitation.

Stall applications can be downloaded by clicking on the Racing Resources tab at the top of the website: www.runningacesharness.com. Horsemen are advised to please fax last minute applications to the number in the upper right hand corner of the stall application to insure consideration.
