Columbus, OH — Jon Maloon, 81, a long-time trainer/driver from Greenville, Ohio, died June 26, 2012, at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Ind.

Having retired many years ago, Mr. Maloon continued to attend races throughout Ohio through 2011. During his active years, he was honored as Second Trainer of the Year while associated with the Gene Riegle stable.

Mr. Maloon is survived by his son, Josiah (Juanita); grandson, Caleb; brother, Jerry; and several nieces and nephews.

Services are Saturday morning (June 30) at the Reichert Funeral Home in Union City, Ind.
