Bob Pandolfo offers his picks for the $75,000 Pick-4 at Meadowlands Racetrack on March 10, part of the U.S. Trotting Association Strategic Wagering Program. Meadowlands Pick-4, Races 6-9, Saturday, March 10, 2012 I didn’t hit last night, minus $16, which brings the total to minus $483 for the first 28 nights; I haven’t hit one so far this meet. Tonight’s sequence is tough. I’m going to keep the ticket small. $1 play: 19/17/4/1456 = $16 Analysis: Race 6: (9) Drop Red is my best bet but I’m not going to single because Tyler Raymer’s barn is hot and (1) Fitz’s Z Tam may be some value here. Race 7: (1) Valentino may need the race but he’s a fast horse so I’m using him, and (7) Melvyn has dropped to a level where he can out kick them all. Race 8: This race is difficult but I don’t feel comfortable covering the race with four horses so I’m just going to single my top pick (4) Pan Grad and hope for the best. Race 9: This is the toughest race of the sequence on paper and I’m using all four of my top contenders, (1) Voice Of Truth, (4) Stonebridge Wish, (5) Art For Arts Sake and (6) Heart Of Rocknroll, and I’m still not confident.
