Ayers Ratliff offers his picks for the $10,000 Pick-4 at Northfield Park on Sept. 14, part of the USTA Strategic Wagering Program. Northfield Park Pick-4, Races 8-11, Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011 Monday’s pick ended up just two for four, and with it finishing a 1/1/1/1, one may think that it was very easy, but it returned more than $1,800, so I am not the only one who did not pick correctly. $1 play: 158/256/3/5 = $9 Analysis: Race 8: (1) Champ Ian gets the rail, has tactical gate speed, gets Noble in the bike, all good reasons to like the #1. (5) Nathan was interfered with last start and should be better second time out. (8) Kissys Honey has hit the board in each of his last three starts, keeps the streak alive tonight. Race 9: (2) Broadway Lisa has every reason for continued improvement. (5) Legacy Chip has been plagued with bad draws, but has been finding a way on the ticket. (6) Lady Rev has been rock solid for Hepner/Harris; wins tonight with another rock solid effort. Race 10: (3) J D’s Turismo has been facing better, but has not been racing his best; still hard not to pick him. Race 11: (5) Iknowwhatboyslike looks like she will either win or break; came through last week, comes through again.
