Columbus, OH — Joseph Alto, 78, died May 26, 2011.

Mr. Alto was a race track announcer for 40 years. He was associated with Buffalo Raceway and Batavia Downs in Western New York and Los Alamitos and Hollywood Park in California.

He is survived by his children, Jolene (Jeff) McLean and Rene (John) Anglemyer; grandchildren, Ryan, Hallie and Lauren McLean; and sister, Prudy (Armond) Ciminelli.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 1, at 10 a.m. at St. Aloysius Gonzaga Church, 157 Cleveland Drive.
