from the Meadowlands Media Relations Department

East Rutherford, NJ — Jeff Gural will be the featured In The Sulky guest on Meadowlands Racetrack’s Saturday (May 14) pre-card broadcast.

The New York investor and developer successfully negotiated a lease yesterday to assume control of and redevelop Meadowlands Racetrack. Gural, who operates Tioga Downs and Vernon Downs in New York, will talk about his immediate plans for the track, his vision for a new grandstand and the development of an off-track facility in Bayonne.

Gural will also be in the winner’s circle that evening for the $200,000 Arthur J. Cutler Memorial, raced in honor of his late friend and famed New York City restaurateur. Gural owned horses with Cutler, who died in 1997 of a heart attack. Cutler’s legacy includes Carmine’s, Virgil’s Real BBQ and Artie’s Delicatessen.

Saturday’s broadcast can be watched live from the Paddock Level television set or online at www.MeadowlandsRacetrack.com beginning at 6:30 p.m.
