Downers Grove, IL — Once again, due to the current circumstances in Illinois harness racing and a low response for attendance, the January 15 annual meeting of the USTA District 5 (Illinois) is being changed. The Officials School that was originally planned is also cancelled. As previously reported, the dinner and dance portions are cancelled as well.

The Officials School is being postponed to a date that is yet to be determined.

The annual USTA District 5 membership meeting is now at 1 p.m. (CST).

At the end of official business at the membership meeting the annual divisional trophies normally presented by ISOBA at the banquet will be distributed to their respective winners as a courtesy to ISOBA. ISOBA has postponed their annual meeting to a date to be determined in the near future.

The USTA Horse of the Year trophy and the award for the top amateur driver of 2010 will be awarded on a Saturday evening at Balmoral Park in the near future.
