Columbus, OH — Sybil Treadwell Patterson, 90, of Dalton, Ga., the wife of the late Hall of Fame horseman John F. Patterson, Sr., died July 15, 2010, at Hamilton Medical Center.

She was a member of the Pine Grove Baptist Church.

Mrs. Patterson is survived by her daughter, Phyllis (James Sr.) Dill; sons, John Frank “Sonny” Jr. (Brenda) and Tony (Susan); grandchildren, James Dill, Jr., Deanna Dill, Amy Matre, Julie Lancaster, John Frank III, Cal and Carter; brother-in-law, Ray (Sue) Treadwell; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2004.

Services will be Sunday, July 18, at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with Dr. Billy Nimmons officiating. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-4 p.m.
