Columbus, OH — The top New Zealand pacer Auckland Reactor will head to the United States for a 2010 campaign and will be trained by Kelvin Harrison.

According to a story on harnesslink.com, the decision was made this week by the directors of Auckland Reactor Limited.

In addition to deciding on a trainer in North America for the 5-year-old Mach Three stallion, the directors also agreed that Auckland Reactor’s groom, Jeremy Young, will accompany him on the journey which is set to begin on Jan. 19.

The New Zealand born Harrison has been one of the top trainers in New Jersey for the past two decades. His pupils have won 816 races since 1991 and have banked $10,263,115.

Auckland Reactor’s owners will pay about $40,000 to stake him to the richest open events in North America this year. He is one of the fastest pacers New Zealand has ever seen and has a career record of 25 wins in 31 starts, with NZ$1,484,293 in earnings.
