Hanover, PA — Jim Simpson, president of Hanover Shoe Farms, is pleased to announce that multiple world champion Explosive Matter 2,1:55f, 3,1:52.3-1:53f ($1,507,165) will be joining the Farm’s stallion ranks beginning with the 2010 breeding season.

A world champion at both two and three, Explosive Matter set a world record in winning the Matron Stakes at Dover Downs in only his third lifetime start. At 3, he established another world record in winning the $500,000 Colonial at Harrah’s Chester.

Simpson said, “We are thrilled to add this wonderful horse to our stallion barn. He is a very fast horse, a wonderful individual, extremely well bred and was as well mannered a horse as ever stepped on a racetrack. Already many of the major players in the industry, such as Brittany, Blue Chip and Lindy Farms, are committed to significant positions in him.”

Explosive Matter is presently being syndicated and will stand at Hanover’s Pennsylvania Farm for a service fee of $7,500.
