Marlborough, MA — The welcome mat was out on Saturday (March 7) at Plainridge Racecourse as horsemen took part in 16 qualifying races. Qualifiers are also set for 12:00 noon on Tuesday, March 10, and Saturday, March 14.

Some of the returning drivers taking part in the opening qualifers were John Hogan, Jim Hardy, Wallace Watson, Shaun Scott, Stephen Quinn, Brad Irvine, John Nason, Mike Eaton, Robert Dinning, Mike Cushing, Todd Whitney, Todd O’Dea, Kevin Switzer, Robert Marsland, Jr., Mario Martellotta, Jeffrey Gulya, Brenda Provost, John Di Stefano and Tom Carlstrom.

The track’s season opener is Monday, March 16, and racing will be held on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons with a 4:00 p.m. (eastern) post time.
